Many of us hear the name Audrey Hepburn and think of the glamorous images and depictions that have been perpetuated since the release of Breakfast at Tiffany's. But in reality, Audrey Hepburn was nothing like the character of Holly Golightly. In fact, her work in the iconic film, arguably, isn't even her best or most powerful legacy.
In Enchantment: The Life of Audrey Hepburn by American biographer Donald Spoto, we learn about the incredibly difficult life that Audrey Hepburn persevered through. We also learn about her many friendships with fashion designers and nuns, tumultuous romances with costars, and the unbreakable connection with the children in whom she saw herself.
The book can be a bit stale, but only because it isn't a dramatization. It is a factual recounting of her life that is interesting all on its own.
If you want to know about Audrey Hepburn beyond what you can find on Pinterest, I highly recommend picking up this book!
