A new brand, with its genesis in San Francisco, whose mission it is to "inspire women to find delight in the everyday..."
In the middle of Spring, I had the privilege of attending Femme Fair (check out my post "Femme Fair 2018 and How it Changed My View on What it is to be a Blogger") and one of the fabulous vendors there was an up and coming brand, And Comfort. Consisting of "easy, comfortable and delightful" fashion, And Comfort is an inclusive brand that caters to women of sizes 10-28.
While at the booth at Femme Fair, I met Karine, the creator of this revolutionary collection, and also had the opportunity to try on a handful of pieces.
I tried on the Tokyo skirt, a wrap skirt with a comfortable twist because it has an extra layer to avoid any flashing while walking in downtown on a windy day. Plus, it has pockets!
The Cloud tee, available in a few different colors, is a basic pima cotton tee that compliments the other collection pieces perfectly.
And as you can see, I tried the Cloud tee under the Apron dress. I knew as soon as I tried this dress on that I needed to have it in my life! I also was complimented about 3 times while in the communal fitting room area, and about a dozen more once I walked out to show Karine!
This dress has pockets as well and is just such a comfortable fit! I love that this dress can be worn as is, with layers, as well as belted or loose. It is so versatile that it can easily transition from day to night, from casual to more semi-formal wear.
I'm typically a size 14 so I went with the size 0 (see And Comfort Size Guide).
Now, I know I focus on budget friendly fashion, and although not too much of a splurge, I would consider these investment pieces.
Because this is finally a brand for plus size women that consists of staple pieces that can build any size fashionista's dream wardrobe. As a girl that has been a double digit size for most of my life, I am ecstatic that someone has finally designed a line of clothing that I have found myself in search of for years.
And you can imagine how exciting it was when I received my order in the mail in early May! It was a treat to open! It included a beautiful lookbook with familiar faces from the Bay Area like @AngieHilem, @TheSmilingSweetheart, @ALaCodeBlog, among others.
The package also came with an additional gift, origami paper to make a few adorable little collared shirts!
And Comfort is sure to be a new go-to brand for me and many other curve women. Just check out articles by Glamour, Refinery 29, Teen Vogue, and The Cut, among many others praising the brand for it's ingenuity in simple designs for all.
If you're in the San Francisco area this Summer, be sure to checkout their showroom on 1648 Pacific Avenue.
